About Hoffman Farm & Forage
Andrew and Sarah Hoffman are the owners of Hoffmann Farm & Forage. Their farm is located in Story City, on land that has been in their family since 1942.
Andrew is a fourth-generation farmer out of Story City, a chef, forager, and produce farmer who is passionate about showcasing Iowa’s rich local food landscape. You can find him growing specialty produce and foraging wild mushrooms for restaurants in the DSM metro and the Des Moines Farmers’ Market, and hosting his own farm-to-table dinners throughout Central Iowa.
The evening will begin with a 30-minute social hour - an opportunity to enjoy a drink, find your seat, and mingle - followed by a brief welcome from us, where we’ll share updates from the farm and introduce Sarah and Andrew.

1- Beet Panzanella
Chive blossom vinaigrette, Lost Lake feta, basil, roasted garlic focaccia
2- Fried Green Tomatoes
Shrimp chip, preserved tomato remoulade, chow-chow
3- Ramp Ravioli
Homemade ravioli, charred spring onion, ricotta, Parmesan, garlic purée
4- Chicken Ballotine
Violet Hill Farm chicken, mushroom stuffing, bacon, marjoram, jus, baby carrots, peas
5- Peaches and Cream
Pâte sucrée, pastry cream, crushed almonds
